NBN in the Classroom
Tell your students about NBN!
We like to think that NBN is one of the hidden gems on the internet. While we have a dedicated listenership of several hundred thousand, this number represents less than 1% of all faculty and students at American universities. Our listeners are diverse and global, which means that the actual number of students in the English and Spanish-speaking world that know about NBN is vanishingly small.
If you are a teacher or student, please consider helping to spread the word about NBN in your classes and on your campus. Below, you’ll find two posters with information about the NBN. The posters have live links. You can share them over email, print them for distribution as hand-outs, or post them on bulletin boards. This form of word-of-mouth is one of the most effective ways to teach people about the NBN. Thank you for helping people discover us!
At last check, there were no transcripts for the NBN podcasts, which limits their accessibility and therefore classroom use. I have (painstakingly!) created a transcript of one episode myself so that I might use it with my students. But routine availability would be enormously helpful.
